Diane S. Poe, teacher

Diane Stanley Poe, 57, of Amissville, died Sept. 28 at Fauquier Hospital. She was born in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 14, 1951, to Fred and Grace Stanley.

Mrs. Poe taught English as a Second Language in Fairfax, Prince William and more recently, at Fauquier County Public Schools.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, David O. Poe; two sons, Nathan Stanley Poe of Richmond and Brian Lawrence Poe of Charlottesville; and one grandchild.

Also surviving are two brothers, Danny Stanley and David Stanley, both of Amissville.

Her parents preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.
