Walter L. Dodson Jr., construction superintendent

Walter L. Dodson Jr., 75, of Warrenton, died Sept. 28 at home. He was born in Annandale, Va., on Sept. 21, 1933, to Walter L. Dodson Sr. and Nina Lacy Dodson.

Mr. Dodson was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired construction superintendent.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruby P. Dodson; nine children, Judy Lynch of Florida, David Dodson of Warrenton, Mary Dodson of Warrenton, Cindy Shelton of North Carolina, Roger Dodson of Culpeper, Linda Yowell of Bealeton, Betty Jo Knobloch of Pennsylvania, Nancy Mitchell of Chester Gap, Va., and John Dodson of Catlett; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He is also survived by a sister, Rose Sweeney of Woodbridge, and a brother, Jimmy Dodson of Spotsylvania.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2. Interment will be at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
