Warrenton-Fauquier Heritage D

WARRENTON, VA – Be prepared to see history come to life along Main Street in Old Town Warrenton on Saturday, September 27, 2008 for a day of celebration and remembrance commemorating 249 years of our extraordinary Warrenton and Fauquier heritage and to honor our national designation as a “Preserve America Community.” Sponsored by the Town of Warrenton and Fauquier County the festivities began at 10:00 AM, followed by the Living History Parade and Grand Review along Main Street at 11:00 AM. and activities throughout the day. Admission is free and open to the public with something for young and old alike to enjoy and learn about. Main Street and Courthouse Square will hold living history displays, hands-on demonstrations, living historians, tours, period dancing and music. Highlighting the day will be an informative historic Lecture Series to held in the Warren Green Building in the Supervisor’s Chambers.
