Battlefield celebrates Friend Day
Sunday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. and again at 11 a.m., Battlefield Baptist Church will be celebrating Friend Day for its 28th anniversary with special musical guests, Soul'd Out.
The Soul'd Out Quartet is a group of young talented singers whose unique blend of music is loved by many. They have also been nominated for Group of the Year by a major industry magazine.
Everyone is invited. A nursery will be provided.

Scholarship fund service Sunday
Beulah Baptist Church in Markham invites everyone to join them at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, for the Beulah Baptist Church Scholarship Fund Service, preached by the pastor, the Rev. Douglas Gore.
Dinner will follow immediately after.
Evening guests will be the Beulah Baptist Church of Rixeyville, Va., where the Rev. Leonard Morton Jr. is pastor-elect.

Plan now to attend singles conference
Dr. Decker Tapscott and the community of Faith Christian Church would like to invite singles to their second Singles Conference starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, and resuming at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8.
Special guests include Mark Kennerly, pastor of Impact Christian Center, Front Royal. They will also have a financial workshop with Karen Frazier of Piedmont Federal Credit Union.

At 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, Guilfield Baptist Church in Millwood, Va., will be hosting a special music program sponsored by the Missionaries.

Busy weekend at Mount Horeb
The Bristersburg Community Fall Festival will be held at Mount Horeb Methodist Church from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.
Join the fun and games for all ages, food, moon bounce, haunted trail and of course, "trunk or treat."
Then on Saturday, Nov. 1, the church will hold its annual turkey and country ham fall dinner from 4-7 p.m. There will be a free-will offering. Enjoy a delicious meal with friends, a mini-bazaar and bake sale.

Mount Moriah to celebrate 120th anniversary
Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville will be celebrating its 120th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 2.
The Rev. Harold Brown, choir and congregation from Guilfield Baptist Church in Millwood will be their 3 p.m. guests.
Lunch will be served after the morning service.

Mount Olive revival starts Nov. 3
Mount Olive Baptist Church in Rectortown will have its fall revival Nov. 3-7 with devotions starting at 7:30 p.m. nightly.
The Rev. Jeffery Johnson of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 4325 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, will be the evangelist.

Donations sought for Nov. 1 auction
Remington United Methodist Church will conduct a church-led public auction of "Goods and Services" beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Remington Lions Club, James Madison Highway (U.S. 29), Remington.
The event will begin with a barbecue chicken dinner with all the trimmings and dessert served from 4-7 p.m. Dinner tickets can be obtained from any church member in advance for $10 per person and are available at the door for
$12. Children under 6 are free.
Entertainment will be provided by Chesham Creek, a local bluegrass band, during the dinner. A silent auction will also be conducted during this time, along with the sale of baked goods. The silent
auction will close at 6:30 p.m.
The auction for goods and services will start at 7 p.m. Goods and services will be those
items obtained from donations made by local merchants and members and friends of RUMC.
Admission to this event is free.

Rising Zion celebrates pastor's 25th anniversary
Pastor Richard E. Garner and First Lady Lydia Garner will celebrate their 25th anniversary of service at Rising Zion Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, in the Peppers Restaurant in The Best Western Hotel in Culpeper.
