Catlett This Week: Bazaar, dinner this Saturday
What a day. In spite of the rain, there was a tremendous turnout for the opening of our new Fire & Rescue Building on Saturday. Spirits were high and there were ohhhs and ahhhs continually throughout the day.
Dave Scatter gave an excellent speech on working together and continuing the service for our community.
All of the charter members from both companies that were in attendance had many pictures taken of them. In fact, there were pictures galore taken all day long. It will be interesting to see these albums in a few weeks.
Many who enjoyed the day had family ties to Catlett even though their loved ones are gone. I heard so many say, "Wouldn't (their family member) love to have seen this."
If you did not get out on Saturday, do stop by sometime and just take a peek inside. You will be amazed.
Thank you to our Fire and Rescue members who worked so hard to bring this day to pass, as well as some who volunteered their time just to be of help on Saturday.

The pig-roast dinner at St. Stephens Episcopal Church was delicious, and the fellowship with many community friends even better.
Warren and I visited the revival service on Sunday evening at Mount Carmel Baptist Church. What singing talent those folk have. The message from the visiting evangelist, Steve Freeman, gave us a challenge to be winners.
