Police and court briefs
Narcotics arrest madeGary Patrick Pase, 24, of Warrenton, was arrested on drug charges Sept. 26, police said.
Maj. Paul Mercer of the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office said Pase was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of a Schedule I drug and possession of Schedule II drug.
His arrest reportedly stemmed from an ongoing investigation conducted by members of the FCSO Narcotics Unit in conjunction with the Warrenton Police Department and Blue Ridge Narcotics Task Force.
Authorities seized marijuana plants, Psilocybin mushrooms and Vicoden tablets when they arrested Pase at his home on Foxville Road, Mercer said.
Pase was initially held in the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond.
Motor vehicle thefts reported
The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office received two reports of motor vehicle thefts last week. The details included in police reports are as follows:
Sept. 25 — Someone from the 5000 block of Leeds Manor Road in Hume reported the theft of a 2005 BMW. The estimated loss is $18,000 and an investigation is ongoing.
Sept. 28 — A caller from the 7000 block of Blackwell Road in Warrenton reported the theft of a 2008 Hornet scooter. The estimated loss is $850 and an investigation is ongoing.
Residence burglarized
A residential burglary reported to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office Sept. 22 remains under investigation.
According to police records, a complainant from the 5100 block of Honeysuckle Lane in Warrenton reported the burglary and theft of a television, X-Box 360 and controllers, and a Dell Inspiron 9400E. The estimated loss in the case is $2,300.
Larcenies reported
The following larcenies were reported to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office:
Sept. 22 — A caller from the 5200 block of Coopers Hill Lane, Midland, reported the theft of beehive boxes worth approximately $4,000. An investigation is ongoing.
Sept. 23 — Someone from the 100 block of High Street in Warrenton reported the theft of silver utensils. The estimated loss is $1,000.
Sept. 25 — A complainant from the 4500 block of Weston Road in Midland reported the theft of antique furniture. The estimated loss is $18,000. An investigation is ongoing.
Illegal u-turn results in crash
An Amissville man was charged with making an illegal U-turn after he was involved in a three-car crash on U.S. 29, police said.
According to a Fauquier County deputy's report, the wreck happened near Lees Mill Road at approximately 11:52 a.m.
Royce Kim Rollins, 49 was reportedly driving northbound on U.S. 29 when he made a U-turn at an intersection where a “No U-turn” sign is posted. When he did so, he allegedly caused a 2001 PT Cruiser driven by Sharon H. Rice, 52 of Bealeton to rear-end a 2008 Toyota Scion. The Scion was driven by Shantee Morales Brockman, 25, of Quantico, police said.
Rice and Rollins each complained of pain but neither had any visible signs of injury. Neither one was transported to the hospital by EMS.
Tree causes wreck
Philip Michael Frye, 23, of Marshall reportedly sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Sept. 24.
According to a Fauquier County deputy's report, the crash happened in the area of Wilson Road and Cannonball Gate Road at approximately 2:12 a.m.
Frye was driving a 2006 Toyota Scion when he hit part of a tree that was in the road, police said. He then went off the road to the left, where the car hit a mailbox.
Frye did not have an visible signs of injuries, but complained of pain, according to the report. He was not transported to the hospital by EMS personnel.
Property damage
The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office received a report of damaged property Sept. 24.
According to police records, someone from the 9300 block of Ramey Road in Marshall reported damage to a gate post. The estimated loss is $500.
One injured in crash
A Woodbridge man reportedly sustained minor injuries in a two-car crash Sept. 23.
An accident report taken by a Fauquier County deputy indicates the wreck happened in the area of Brentown Road and Sowego Road at approximately 5:49 p.m.
John Darryl Cash, 47, was driving a 2006 Toyota Matrix southbound on Sowego Road when he was coming around a curve and “failed to continue through the curve.”
Police said Cash then hit a 2005 Ford F-150 operated by Michael David Rudd, 39, of Stafford. Rudd's vehicle was stopped at a stop sign as he waited to make a right onto Brentown Road.
Cash was charged with failure to maintain control of a vehicle. He didn't have any signs of visible injuries but complained of pain and was transported to the hospital by EMS personnel, according to the report.
Rudd was uninjured.
Wire fraud investigated
Fauquier County detectives are investigating an incident involving fraud reported to the Sheriff's Office Sept. 25.
Police records indicate a caller from the 12400 block of Lucky Hill Road in Remington reported wire fraud. The estimated loss in the case is $394.
